MERGERS/DEALS

** Boralex Inc, a Canadian alternative-power producer, on Thursday raised its bought deal financing offer by C$10 million as it looks to buy all units of the income trust it manages.

The company, which also operates in the United States and France, said it will now raise C$95 million ($89.71 million) through a bought deal of extendible debentures, versus its prior offering of C$85 million.

** PT Indosat, Indonesia's No. 2 mobile phone operator, said it was open to the consolidation in the telecoms sector, especially for its fixed wireless (CDMA) unit.

** Belgian municipal holding company Publigas postponed the planned sale of part of its holding of Fluxys and is now also looking at raising cash via the stock exchange instead.

** Harry Winston said it had closed a deal to reinstate its 40 percent ownership in the Diavik diamond mine in northern Canada by buying back the interest it sold to Kinross Gold in 2009.

** Hewlett-Packard Co said on Thursday it would acquire Stratavia, a private company that makes software to manage databases and has applications in cloud computing. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

** New Pacific Metals Corp on Thursday sweetened its offer to buy gold-silver explorer Tagish Lake Gold Corp by 50 percent, valuing the company at about C$13 million. (Compiled by Tina Kwan in Singapore, Soham Chatterjee, Swati Chitnis in Bangalore)
