U.S. labor board sets vote for Delta attendants

WASHINGTON, Sept 3 (Reuters) - An election to determine whether 20,000 flight attendants at Delta Air Lines Inc will be represented by a union will be held starting late this month, a labor group said on Friday.
The Association of Flight Attendants said the National Mediation Board has determined that balloting will take place between Sept. 29 and Nov. 3.
Delta is a mainly nonunion carrier but it incorporated thousands of unionized flight attendants when it merged with Northwest Airlines in 2008.
The representation election is intended to settle the question of whether the attendants would be fully unionized or nonunion.
