CFD Trading Details

Much like trading in the foreign exchange (Forex) market, CFDs are instantaneous exchanges of contracts between buyers and sellers with an agreement to exchange the difference in value upon closing the contract. So you can buy (go Long) or sell (go Short) any index or commodity with no worries of strange and difficult to understand rules prevalent in other markets.
One major advantage of trading a CFD is that it offers great leverage opportunities since the client can trade using margin. CFD trading means clients can trade a full portfolio of indices or commodities without having to tie up large amounts of capital in the process. Traders can also limit and manage their risk by using Stop and Limit orders commonly used in Forex trading.

- During daily breaks and in major news, spreads might widen
- Spreads are doubled during daily breaks between 22:00– 23:00 (GMT). During this break period, it is not possible for clients to open new positions and place stop loss / limit orders.
- Commodity trading begins Sunday at 22:00 GMT and closes on Friday at 21:00 GMT. There is a break in trading between the hours of 22:15 - 23:00 every day. It is not possible to open market orders or place orders during this break.
- Due to low liquidity in global markets, between 22:00 GMT and 23:00 GMT, Gold and Silver will be closed for trading. FOREXYARD Clients should be aware that if market liquidity remains low after 23:00 GMT, spreads may widen.
